My name is Larissa, and dance has been my way of overcoming life’s biggest challenges. From fighting through chemotherapy to traveling across the world to pursue my dreams, dance has always been my reason to keep going.
I’m currently an international dance major at the University of South Florida, working tirelessly to complete my degree while creating meaningful choreographic work that blends hip-hop and contemporary styles. My dream is not only to graduate but to use my artistry to inspire others — showing that through passion and persistence, anything is possible.
However, being an international student in the U.S. comes with significant financial challenges. Tuition, living costs, and the expenses of producing choreography quickly add up. This GoFundMe was created to help me stay in school, continue developing my senior piece, and create work that I hope will make others believe in resilience and hope.
